About Us

To this day whenever I see a rack with personalized license plates for kids’ bikes, I still search for my name. In 34 years, I have never found it! While I love that my name is not as common as other names, I figure I can’t be the only one that missed out on having that little piece of tin hanging off the back of my purple banana boat bike! There’s something really fun about seeing your own name on an item … an item made by someone other than you!

Of course, when I was pregnant with our son, my husband and I were pretty certain we wanted to give him a unique name (obviously the banana boat bike memory had been temporarily misplaced by the joy of being pregnant!). Just days after we arrived home from the hospital, we received several gifts with my son’s name engraved on them or his initials monogrammed on them. How I loved these gifts, cherished them, because they celebrated something so special, so personal: my son’s name.

I saw how personalizing a gift transformed it into something more than the gift itself. Realizing this, I began to research monograms, embroidery, engraving … all of it! Many months later, I made the decision to launch MonogramMarketplace.com.

I created this website for you to find and create fun, unique, concept-driven, personal gifts -- gifts that transcend the ordinary. I continually add to my inventory and hope you will visit me on the web often to check out what’s new. For now, I hope you find something fun for yourself or a loved one.
